Knights, Pacers Softball Players Named to 2009 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III All-Region Teams

Aston, Pa. – Three Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Softball players were honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for their outstanding performance on the diamond this season. Marywood University’s Erika Cook and Neumann University’s Angela Sebasto and Jennifer Goslin were named to the Second and Third All-East Region Teams.

 

Marywood University senior Erika Cook (Wyalusing, Pa. / Wyalusing Valley) was named to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-East Region Second Team. Cook did not commit an error during 2009, leading the Pacers to a school-record 27 wins in her senior year while establishing several new career records from 2006-2009, including highest batting average (.435), games played (146), runs scored (153), hits (218), doubles (45) and triples (19). 

 

Neumann University senior Angela Sebasto (Sr., Trenton, N.J. / McCorriston) was named to the All-East Region Second Team as a utility player, capping off a season in which she earned her second consecutive CSAC Player of the Year award as well as first team all-conference.  Sebasto is 18-3 overall this season with a 1.58 ERA. In 128.1 innings pitched, the senior has struck out 182 batters. She also has two perfect games this season.

 

Neumann University junior Jennifer Goslin (Jr., Coatesville, Pa. / Coatesville) was named to the All-East Region Third Team as an at-large selection. Having started 38 games this season, Goslin ended the season with a .361 batting average with 35 hits in 97 at-bats. The first-baseman leads the conference in home runs (11), RBI (32) and is second in slugging percentage (.735). Goslin has six doubles, has a .472 on-base percentage and boasts a .667 batting average with the bases loaded.
