CABRINI MEN, WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TO HOST “TEAM DANZI NIGHT” THURSDAY
RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men and women’s basketball teams will host “Team Danzi Night” to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Thursday in conjuction with their Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) doubleheader against Keystone College in Nerney Field House.
Kayla Danzi, daughter of Cabrini men’s basketball alum Jeff Danzi ’96 and his wife, Susan, was diagnosed with high risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia on June 8, 2007 – just two months following her 4th birthday. Kayla endured more than two years of chemotherapy and is cancer-free since July 2007. She has one brother, Shawn (16), and a sister, Ava (3).
“Kayla’s courage and strength is without a doubt an inspiration to both the men’s and women’s basketball programs at Cabrini.,” said second-year men’s basketball head coach Marcus Kahn. “We are thrilled to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with Kayla’s family and friends.”
All admissions and concessions proceeds from the doubleheader versus Keystone will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The Cabrini women’s team tips against the Giants at 6 p.m. The men’s game is set to start at approximately 8 p.m.
