CSAC Announces Men's Basketball Regular Season Awards

Aston, PA February 21, 2010 – The Colonial States Athletic Conference announced the recipients of the Player, Rookie, and Coach of the year; First, Second and Honorable Mention All-Conference teams and individual sportsmanship awards.
 

Cabrini College’s Kevin Misevicius (Forward, Allentown PA/Emmaus) was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference’s 2009-2010 Men’s Basketball Player of the Year. After regular season play Misevicius started in 24 of 25 games, averaged 19.4 points per game, 5.8 rebounds, and shot .869 in free throws. Misevicius was named to D3Hoops.com National Team of the Week (1/13), ECAC Player of the Week (1/12), and CSAC Player of the Week (1/11). The senior forward leads the conference in scoring (19.4), free throw percentage (.869), and tied for second in steals (2.2 average per game).

 

Cabrini College’s Cory Lemons (Guard, Wilmington DE/Glasgow) was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference’s 2009-2010 Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Year. Lemons ended regular season play averaging 14.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and started in 22 of 25 games. Lemons was named ECAC Player of the Week (1/19) and is a two time award winner of the CSAC Player of the Week (1/18, 1/25). The freshman lead the conference with 92 assists during conference competition.

 

Cabrini College’s Marcus Kahn was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference’s 2009-2010 Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year for the second year in a row.    In his second year at Cabrini head Coach Kahn has lead the team to a 23-2 overall record and 17-1 mark in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. The Cavaliers have reached the 23-win plateau for the first time since the 1995-96 season. Kahn will lead his team as the #1 seed into the CSAC Championships.
