CSAC Coaches Select Cavaliers as Men's Lacrosse Pre-Season Favorite

Aston, Pa. -  Cabrini College's Men's Lacrosse team has been selected as the pre-season favorite in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) coaches' poll. The 2009 conference champions received all 7 first place votes earning them a perfect 49 points. The Cavaliers have made eight straight NCAA tournaments and were ranked 12th in the U.S Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Top 20 preseason poll.

Cabrini will be led by two-time CSAC Player of the Year senior attackman Casey Grugan. Grugan was voted the Division III National Preseason Player of the Year in a fan poll conducted by Lacrosse Magazine and was named a First Team All-America selection by Inside Lacrosse.

"It is a great honor to be recognized by the other coaches in the CSAC. It is a goal of ours each year to compete for a conference championship and this year is no different," said 10th year head coach Steve Colfer. "We are excited and looking forward to the 2010 season."

Conference runner-up Marywood University, came in second with 42 points. Gwynedd-Mercy College was selected to finish third, earning 29 points. Centenary College (25), Shenandoah University (23), Immaculata University (15) and Neumann University (13) rounded out the voting.
