BALTIMORE- College of Notre Dame senior women's lacrosse midfielder Lauren Terry (Towson, MD/Catholic) has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® District 2 Women's At-Large Second Team. She is the first Notre Dame student-athlete to earn Academic All-District honors since lacrosse student-athlete Tina Money '08 and swimming student-athlete Lauren Ackerman '08 earned Women's At-Large First Team honors in 2007. Terry is just the third Notre Dame lacrosse student-athlete in program history to be named CoSIDA Academic All-District, and is the only student-athlete selected from the Colonial States Athletic Conference to be represented on the Academic All-District At-Large teams.
Terry captained the Gator lacrosse team in 2010 and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.92 while majoring in Biology. A member of the Notre Dame Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Terry is also a member of Beta Beta Beta (Biological Honors Society), Phi Sigma Iota (Modern Forigen Languages Society), Delta Epsilon Sigma (National Scholastic Honors Society), and Kappa Gamma Pi (National Catholic College Graduate Honors Society).
On the field, Terry led College of Notre Dame with career-highs of 66 goals and 70 points along with 52 draw controls in 2010. She became the third student-athlete in Notre Dame lacrosse program history to score 200 career goals, finishing her career with 206 tallies. She earned First Team All-Colonial States Athletic Conference honors in both her junior and senior seasons, and was a three-time CSAC Player of the Week Honor Roll selection this spring. She paced the Gators to a 7-8 overall record and a 5-3 mark in league play. Terry's contributions led Notre Dame back to the CSAC postseason as the fourth-seed after the squad missed making the cut in 2009.
Terry has also earned several Notre Dame Athletic Department awards in her four-year career. She earned the Sister Bernice Feilinger award at Notre Dame's Athletic Department Awards Banquet, which recognizes the program's most outstanding senior student-athlete.
