Aston, PA., - Gwynedd-Mercy College was picked to capture the 2010 Men's Cross Country championship in The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) according to the coaches' pre-season poll. The two time defending conference champions received 9 out of 10 possible first place votes for a total of 98 points. The Griffins will look for a three-peat at the conference championships hosted by Gwynedd-Mercy on Saturday, October 30, 2010.
"The men are excited for another great season and defending the conference title is one of our goals, " said coach Mike Dager. "If we are successful we will be the first men's team in school history to win three consecutive conference titles."
The 2009 CSAC runner-up Marywood University came in second place with 90 points, including one first place vote. Keystone College (68), Cabrini College (62), Baptist Bible College (55), Philadelphia Biblical University (46), Neumann University (44), Centenary College (32), Immaculata University (31) and Rosemont College (24) rounded out the voting.
