CSAC teams split in NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional openers

LAKEWOOD, NJ: The Colonial States Athletic Conference saw its two representatives go 1-1 in the first day of the 2012 NCAA Division-III Mid-Atlantic Baseball Regionals, hosted by Kean University at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood, NJ. In the first game of the tournament, fifth seeded Neumann saw fourth-seed Ramapo score eight runs over the game's final two innings to secure a 10-6 victory. In the day's second game, top-seeded Keystone jumped out to a 4-1 lead after the first inning, and never looked back, defeating eight-seeded Daniel Webster 13-6. Both teams will return to action on Thursday afternoon, with Neumann facing Daniel Webster in an elimination game slated for 10:00am, and Keystone taking on Ramapo in the winner's bracket beginning at 4:30pm.
