Player of the Week:
Abby Cohen - Junior - SS - Keystone College
Cohen helped the Giants get off to a 4-0 start, pulling two sweeps over the weekend in Myrtle Beach. She led the Keystone offense, going 9-for-14 (.642) with four doubles, two homers, and eight RBIs. In a 7-4 win over Hilbert, she went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs, and two runs scored. In an 11-2 win over Johnston St., she went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs, and three runs scored. In a 6-5 comeback win over Drew, she knocked in three RBIs with a two-hit effort that included another home run. in a 4-2 win over Johnson St. on Sunday, she added another two hit game, scoring one run.
Pitcher of the Week:
Karissa Worobey - Freshman - Keystone College
Worobey went 2-0 for the Giants, with a 1.45 ERA and nine strikeouts in 9 2/3 innings. She pitched 2.2 innings of relief against Drew, earning the win by allowing no runs and one hit with three strikeouts. She earned her second win in as many games with a complete-game two-hitter against Johnson State, as she struck out six while allowing only two hits. In her two appearances, opponents batted just .085 (3-for-35).

Player of the Week:
Allie White - Fr - OF - Neumann University
White led the Knights to a 4-0 CSAC week, batting .818 (9-for-11) with five extra base hits and six RBIs. In Friday’s doubleheader sweep over Gwynedd-Mercy, the freshman went a combined 5-for-7, with two doubles and two runs scored. The next day, in the Knights’ sweep of Notre Dame (MD), she was a perfect 4-for-4 in the two games, with three runs scored and four RBIs. In the opener, she belted two first-inning home runs, including a solo lead off shot and a three-run blast in her second at bat of the frame.
Pitcher of the Week:
Rachel Purpuro - Sr - Neumann University
Purpuro appeared in two games in the circle for Neumann, throwing seven shutout innings and striking out 11. In Friday’s CSAC opener against Gwynedd-Mercy, she threw a complete-game shutout, striking out 10 and allowing two hits to earn the win. The next day against conference foe Notre Dame (MD), she started the opener and worked two perfect innings, striking out one. On the week, opponents batted just .087 (2-for-23) off of the righty.
Honor Roll:
Karin Mowry - Jr - C - Baptist Bible College
In eight games during Baptist Bible’s spring break trip, Mowry led the offense, batting .556 (15-for-27), with two homers, three doubles, and one triple. She also posted 12 RBIs and scored 17 runs, while going a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts. Her slugging percentage on the week was .963, with an on-base percentage of .625, while she also was perfect in 26 chances in the field.
Gabriella Stamler - Fr - P - Rosemont College
Stamler earned the win in both of Rosemont’s come-from-behind victories over Cazenovia on Friday. in game one, she hurled nine innings and allowed just one earned run, on three hits with five strikeouts, as Rosemont posted the 4-3 extra-inning win. In the nightcap, she came on in relief in the seventh and retired the side in order, before Rosemont scored two runs in the bottom of the frame for the walk-off win. She was also a hard-luck loser in Wednesday’s 2-1, nine-inning loss to Penn St-Abington, as she worked all nine innings and allowed just one earned run, on five hits, while striking out six. On the week, her strikeout-to-walk ratio was 23-1.

Player of the Week:
Ashley Dommes - Sr - 3B - Marywood University
Dommes batted .556 (5-for-9) with a double, two homers, and nine RBIs for Marywood in its 4-0 week. In Saturday’s doubleheader sweep over Neumann, she homered once in each game, tying the all-time Marywood career home run record (17). She had four hits - three for extra bases - and six RBIs in the twinbill.
Pitcher of the Week:
Roxanne Keelan - Jr - Centenary College
Keelan went 2-0 on the week for the Cyclones, striking out nine in 12 innings pitched. On Friday, she threw a perfect game against Rosemont, striking out seven, and followed that up with another complete-game the next day against Keystone, allowing two runs on three hits with six strikeouts.

Hannah Strayer - So - 1B - Baptist Bible College
Strayer led the Defenders to a 5-1 week, including a 4-0 showing against CSAC foes, batting .588 (10-for-17) with 12 RBIs. Seven of her 10 hits went for extra bases, including four doubles, a triple, and two homers. In Friday’s doubleheader sweep of Gwynedd-Mercy, she went a combined 4-for-7, with three doubles, a homer, and four RBIs. The next day, in two wins over Notre Dame (MD), she had two hits, including a three-run triple, and four RBIs.
Amanda Schaefer - Fr - P/INF - Cedar Crest College
Schaffer went 3-1 in the circle, allowing nine runs (seven earned) in 26.1 innings, with 16 strikeouts. Her top performance came in Friday’s 4-0 win over Philadelphia Biblical, as she went the distance and struck out nine, scattering four hits in the complete game shutout. She also hit .308 at the dish (4-for-13), with two RBIs and three runs scored.

Player of the Week:
Caitlyn Veverka - Sr - OF - Centenary College
Veverka led the Cyclones to a 6-0 week, batting .545 (12-for-22) with three homers and nine RBIs. In the Cyclones doubleheader sweep over FDU-Florham on Monday, she went a combined 5-for-7, with two homers, three RBIS, and two stolen bases. In Friday’s twinbill with Cabrini, Veverka went 4-for-7, with three RBIs, four stolen bases, and three runs scored, before posting three more hits, including a homer, and four RBIs in Centenary’s sweep of Gwynedd-Mercy on Sunday.
Pitcher of the Week:
Roxanne Keelan - Jr - Centenary College
Keelan earns Pitcher of the Week honors for the second straight week, after going 4-0 and posting a 0.00 ERA in 25 innings pitched. On Monday, she earned the victory, scattering seven hits and one unearned run, against FDU-Florham. On Friday, she threw a complete game shutout over Cabrini, scattering four hits and striking out five. On Sunday at Gwynedd-Mercy, she picked up complete game victories in both ends of the twinbill, scattering six hits, with 10 strikeouts, in 13 innings.
Honor Roll:

White hit .563 (9-for-16) in four games for the Knights. In Wednesday’s doubleheader with Misericorida, she went a combined 4-for-9, with two doubles, two runs scored, and an RBI. She followed that up with a 5-for-7 showing in the Knights’ doubleheader sweep of Immaculata, hitting three doubles, driving in three RBIs, and scoring five runs.
Shannon Wenner - So - INF - Cedar Crest College
Wenner batted .636 (7-for-11), with four extra base hits, for the Falcons on the week. In Tuesday’s twinbill with the University of Scranton, she went 3-for-5, with her second homer of the year, before going 4-for-6, with a homer, two doubles, four runs scored, and two RBIs in the Falcons’ doubleheader sweep over Valley Forge Christian on Friday afternoon.

Player of the Week:
Kayla Prompovitch - Fr - INF/OF - Marywood University
Prompovitch led the Pacers’ offense, as Marywood went 4-0 to improve to 9-1 in CSAC play. In last Monday’s doubleheader sweep over Baptist Bible, whe went 6-for-8, with two doubles, a triple, four RBIs, and four runs scored. Yesterday, in a 10-0 win over Gwynedd-Mercy, Prompovitch went 2-for-4, with a triple, run scored, and two RBIs. For the week, she hit .615 (8-for-13) with six RBIs and a slugging percentage of 1.230.
Pitcher of the Week:
Katherine King - Fr - Marywood University
King went 2-0 for the Pacers on the week, picking up complete game victories over Baptist Bible and Gwynedd-Mercy. Against the Defenders, she went the distance and scattered four hits, while striking out six, in the 8-3 victory. She was even better against Gwynedd-Mercy, going the distance and allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out four.

Jennifer Hollowell - Fr - OF/C - Cedar Crest College
Hallowell led the Falcons to a CSAC sweep over Notre Dame (MD) on Thursday. The freshman outfielder went 3-for-5 in the twinbill, with all three hits being doubles, driving in three runs and scoring once while also walking once. She was also flawless in eight attempts in the outfield, including one outfield assist.
Malaeah Himmons - Fr - OF/C - Immaculata University
Himmons batted an even .500 (7-for-14) in five games for the Mighty Macs. Last Monday against Widener, she went 3-for-3, with a homer, double, five RBIs, and one runs scored. The next day against Ursinus, she posted two triples, with two RBIs and two runs scored. Himmons then wrapped the week up by going 2-for-5, with four RBIs and five runs scored, in Monday’s doubleheader sweep over Notre Dame (MD).

Player of the Week:
Jacki Herrington - Jr - 1B/C - Neumann University
Herrington batted .650 (13-for-20) with two homers, one double, 11 RBIs, and seven runs scored over the Knights’ 5-1 week. She opened the week by going 3-for-4 with two homers (including a grand slam) and five RBIs in a tight loss to CSAC co-leader Centenary. In Friday’s doubleheader with Cabrini, the catcher went a combined 6-for-8 with two RBIs, before closing out the week by going 4-for-6 with four RBIs and three runs scored in a sweep of Rosemont on Saturday
Pitcher of the Week:
Alexandra Stine - So - Marywood University
Stine accounted for two of Marywood’s four wins on the week, throwing a total of 10.0 innings and allowing just one earned runs on nine hits with eight strikeouts. On Friday against Rosemont, she started and worked 3.0 innings, allowing just two hits and one unearned run with six strikeouts, before closing the week with a 7-inning complete game win over Cabrini, in which she scattered seven hits and allowed just one earned run.

Meagan Fitzgerald - So - P - Immaculata University
Fitzgerald went 4-0 for the Mighty Macs on the week, picking up complete game victories over Cedar Crest, Baptist Bible and Philadelphia Bible. Against Cedar Crest, she pitched a six-inning complete game in the opener, allowing just one run on three hits with nine K’s. In the Mighty Macs’ 7-1 win over BBC, she worked all seven innings, allowing one run on three hits with four strikeouts. She finished the week with a three-hit shutout of Philadephia Biblical, in which she struck out seven.
Caitlyn Veverka - Sr - OF - Centenary College
Veverka paced the Cyclone offense during Centenary’s 7-1 week. The senior batted .630 (17-for-27) with two homers, six doubles, and 12 RBIs, while scoring 16 runs and going a perfect 7-for-7 in stolen base attempts. Her slugging percentage for the week was 1.074, while she reached base in 20 of 30 plate appearances, good for an on-base percentage of .667.

Player of the Week:
Samantha Strickland - Fr - 1B/OF - Immaculata University
Strickland batted .463, with a .615 slugging percentage and .500 on-base percentage, in four games for the Mighty Macs. On Saturday, she led Immaculata to a doubleheader sweep of CSAC foe Marywood, going 4-for-6 in the twinbill. In the opener, she went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, including the game-winner on a two-out walk-off single in the seventh inning.
Pitcher of the Week:
Rachel Purpuro - Sr - Neumann University
Purpuro earns her second Pitcher of the Week Honor, after going 3-0 with a 0.93 ERA in three appearances for the Knights. On Friday against Baptist Bible, she earned the win in both games of the twinbill. In the opener, she went all five innings, allowing one run on two hits, with six strikeouts. In the nightcap, she came on in relief and threw five innings, giving up one run on four hits with six more K’s. On Saturday against Philadelphia Biblical, Purpro threw a complete-game, two-hit shutout, fanning four.

Cohen batted .583 (9-for-16) for the Giants in a trio of doubleheader splits, vs. King’s, Cabrini and Cedar Crest. On Monday, she led the Giants to their first-ever win against crosstown rival Kings, going 3-for-4 with a double, RBI, and run scored. In Friday’s split with Cedar Crest, she went 4-for-8 with four RBIs, before going 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored in Saturday’s twinbill against Cabrini.
Becca Reinhart - Fr - 2B - Neumann University
Reinhart led the Neumann offense in its 6-0 week, batting a robust .706 (12-for-17) with a homer, eight RBIs, and nine runs scored. She posted an .882 slugging percentage and a .750 on-base percentage, while also swiping two bases in as many attempts.

Player of the Week:
Stephanie Kreiser - Sr - 3B - Baptist Bible College
Kreiser batted .455 and entered the BBC record books as the Defenders went 4-0 in conference play, and 4-2 overall, on the week. On Monday at Wilkes, she stole her 100th career base, before becoming the program’s all-time hit leader (180) with a base hit in the opener of Saturday’s sweep vs. Cabrini. On the week, she went 10-for-22 with eight runs scored, six RBIs, and five stolen bases, including a 5-for-9 showing, with three RBIs and three runs scored, in the Cabrini twinbill sweep that clinched the #5 seed for the Defenders in the upcoming CSAC playoffs.

Alexandra Stine - So - Marywood University
Stine went 2-0 and failed to allow an earned run in two starts and 12.0 innings for the Pacers. In Friday’s win over Philadelphia Biblical, she threw a five-inning complete game, allowing one unearned run on three hits with five strikeouts and facing just two batters over the minimum. Two days later, in a 1-0 win over Wilkes, she threw seven shutout innings, scattering five hits and striking out four. On the week, opponents hit just .178 (8-for-45) off of the sophomore.

Johnson went 2-0, recording both of Gwynedd-Mercy’s wins over Philadelphia Biblical on Saturday. In the opener, she came on in relief and recorded the win, posting two strikeouts and allowing no runs or hits. Lope hit .636 to lead the Pacers to 5-1 week (4-0 CSAC). She had a double, two triples and 11 runs scored while picking up seven RBI’s and posting an .864 slugging percentage. She also was a perfect 8-for-8 in stolen bases, making her a perfect 36-for-36 on the year. Her week was highlighted by an 8-for-8 performance in Friday’s sweep of Philadelphia Biblical.
